From Rio de Janeiro
About 258 km along the BR-101. Costa Verde buses leave from Novo Rio bus station, roughly 4h30.
From São Paulo
Two ways by car: along the coast via Ubatuba and the Rio–Santos road (about 330 km), or up the Dutra to Guaratinguetá and over the mountains via Cunha - usually quicker, about 4 hours. Direct bus from Tietê, about 6 hours.
By car
